August

August started out with the funeral for our much loved grandfather, Murray Allen. I know that Allyson will not remember being held by him in the laundry mat that he spent much of his time running these last few years.
He was a great man and a wonderful grandfather. I am glad that he was able to be part of her baby blessing and that he felt so happy that he was part of it.

For Kyle's birthday we went to the Demolition Derby in Spanish Fork.
It was part of the Utah County Fair. It started off kinda ho hum, but as you can see here, once it got a-go'in we saw some great crashes. I believe this was in the second round. They brought in a big fork lift type truck that had to lift up car 23 to safely lower the vehicle off the other car. Later in the derby there was a car that was hit by 2 different cars consecutively which caused it to roll onto its hood sideways. If i can get that video edited, i'll post it. Very entertaining stuff. I definitely recommend going to a demolition derby if you get the chance.

We got little Allyson's pictures taken a week ago. She cooperated pretty well. Since she is sitting up, it was easy to get good shots of her. This was daddy's favorite picture. See her fingers in her mouth? That means she is very happy. That is the only time she puts her fingers, or fist, in her mouth. If the angle was a little be over, you could see she is smiling big.

She is six months old this month of September. Time has sure flown by. It sure didn't go this fast when I was pregnant...
